Sign Physician Orders

Electronic Signature Policy

  1. It is the policy of this Agency to accept electronic signatures from clinicians and physicians which have been appropriately authenticated in the Pathways Homecare system.
  2. Electronic signatures will be accepted when the following conditions are met:

This password is established by the physician/clinician when orders are signed initially and kept in confidence by the physician/clinician to safeguard against unauthorized access. The physician/clinician can change this password at any time to further protect the password from unauthorized use.
  4. Documents signed electronically are printed and filed in the clinical record. In the event of system failure, computer back-up tapes are available both on and off site for recreation of records.
